Hello!!
Well our week was not too interesting. One of the highlights (if you can call it that) was I had a birthday on Thursday. I still feel like I am in my 20s, but alas I am not and Aaron doesn’t let me forget it since he is still in his 20s—even if it is for a couple more months. Aaron fixed us dinner and a very nice surprise is he ordered a cake from the bakery. I haven’t had a birthday cake for years and it was really nice. The kids didn’t really mind either since the cake is all ready gone!!
Matthew and Josh were supposed to start soccer Saturday, but it was snowed out. I thought it was Spring all ready!! My tulips are even starting to come up!! Matthew took it rather hard, but Josh looked outside and really didn’t want to play outside in the snow with shorts on. Hopefully next week will be better. Instead of going to soccer, Aaron spent the rest of Saturday rebuilding our playhouse/swing set. He had to replace some of the boards that had rotted out and the kids were excited to play on the slide again. He still has a few more finishing touches left, but it is almost done. He of course needed to get a few power tools to do the job—any excuse for power tools right?!?
Well that was our exciting week. I am adding some pictures of our vacation to Mt. Rushmore.
