At each station throughout the store (bakery, butcher, customer service, etc.), they got to pick up a nice treat (chocolate milk, rice crispie treats, apples, etc.). Noah didn't care for it too much because he slept the whole time, but the rest of the kids liked it. 
Sarah insisted on holding her own bag even though it was too big for her to pick up. If we tried to help her in any way she would just scream. She drug her bag all through the store. She even tried to put a few things from the shelf in it, but we stopped her before she could put any in it.
To celebrate Halloween and have a fundraiser Josh and Daniel's elementary school had a carnival. They started out with a costume parade around the school and then we bought a punch card to do some activities with. We did pumpkin bowling, bean bag toss, ski ball, etc. They had lots of fun.Matthew doing some ski ball:

Sarah being the lady like princess she is, when we were waiting in line she decided to try and climb on the bookshelves. Modesty....what's that?
As you can see Noah wasn't too enthused about all this activity either. He was yawning from the beginning and soon fell asleep.
Sarah was in the thick of things. Whatever the boys did she had to do it as well.
When it was over we went out and got into the car. Sarah's crown fell off so I just picked it up and held on to it. She screamed and screamed until I gave it back to her. She then put it on herself because she NEEDED her crown for her costume.
Wednesday night this week was the Pinewood Derby for pack meeting. Matthew was so excited to finally race his car. He didn't come in first and he didn't come in last, but let's just say there is a little room for improvement. I think Aaron and Matthew did great since this was their first Pinewood Derby as father and son. Aaron is already thinking about how to design the car for next time.

Saturday we finally got around to carving our pumpkins. Everyone drew their faces on and I carved. Matthew and Daniel got some extra help from Josh and I think they all turned out well.
While we were carving, Sarah got a hold of the Sharpie Marker and drew on her face. I think it completes her princess ensemble don't you? It was hard to get off. Even with lots of scrubbing she still had a nice mark at church today.

I tried painting their faces this year....I don't know if I want to do that again. It's harder than it looks. When I finished Josh went and took a look at himself and declared to me that he looked stupid. Nice--thanks Josh! The kids got lots of candy. Of course they got upset when Aaron and I sampled a few. However, Aaron took this nice opportunity to teach them about taxation. He said when you get a job and start earning your own money then you have to start paying taxes and then ate a candy bar to show them what he meant. They didn't quite appreciate that, but maybe it will prepare them for the real world :).Saturday while we were at home we made the big bed switch. It has been something I have been dreading and putting off for a while because I knew it would be a big fight with Sarah to get her out of her crib and for her to stay in her big girl bed. However, surprising enough she did not fight me at all about it. Trick or treating must have worn her out because she went straight to sleep. However, today for quiet time was a different story. She figured out how to open her door even with the child proof door knob cover on it and kept sneaking out. She is such a handful!!
Here's Noah in his big boy crib. Aaron finally made me move him out of our room. He looks so little in his crib, but he slept all night. I can't complain in any way!! He is such a good baby. He is a very good natured and happy baby!! The Lord knew I needed a baby like that for #5!!
To prove it was actually snowing since you can't see too much of the snow in the previous picture, I took a picture of a snowflake on Josh's hood to prove that is was in fact snowing. 
At the end she had had enough and just laid down and refused to do anything.

When they were done I made them bring every last marker back downstairs and put them away. I thought they were ok until I was in the shower Saturday morning and Aaron brought Sarah in the bathroom to show me. She had gotten a hold of an orange marker and colored all over her hands, pajamas and the carpet. Aaron was telling me that he had searched and searched for the offending marker, but couldn't find it anywhere. He then unzipped her pajamas to throw her in the shower and the marker fell out of her pajamas. I guess she was storing it inside her pajamas for later use. Also that morning all the boys had come down and gotten themselves breakfast. No one got any for Sarah so she took matters into her own hands. She went over to the pantry and pulled out the green decorative sugar sprinkles and ate that for breakfast--I hate to say they may be on the same nutritional scale as poptarts. Anyway, it seems she shared some with her brothers because we noticed later that Daniel had green sprinkles all over in his hair. NICE!

It took me from 9am to 1:30pm to finish all of my projects and that was even with a few people helping me which was greatly appreciated!! When I finally got home I found that Aaron had been extremely busy while I was gone. Not only did he have four kids to watch (I took Noah with me), he picked up the house, vacuumed every room, made the bed, cleaned the bathrooms, swept and mopped and was in the middle of folding laundry and putting it away. I was so thankful!! What a wonderful husband!! I think we should start having Super Saturday every Saturday ;)!!

Then this morning Daniel decided he wanted to color some pictures. I was of course downstairs feeding Noah when Sarah went to go join Daniel. Sarah got a hold of the markers and went to town on some paper, on herself, on her pajamas and on my table. I got to find out that washable markers aren't as washable off of some surfaces--like my dining table. I scrubbed and got most of it off, but if you look you can see faint blue scribbles on the wood. She also found my highlighter tape and thought they were some nice stickers to stick all over her face, pajamas and table. 
Afterward I found her taking her sippy for a walk in her stroller. She even strapped it in and everything. I would say she is going to be a good mom, but....... it's a sippy and not a doll.
Then this afternoon Aaron and I were busy helping Josh, Daniel and Matthew with their homework. Sarah seized the opportunity and snuck up into my bathroom. She drew herself a bath in my sink and let the water overflow all over the counter and floor while she ate my chapstick. REALLY?!?
As for right now, Aaron laid her down in her crib about five minutes ago. As you can see, she evidentally has now figured out how the crawl out of her crib by herself--that's pretty scary. She has also decided to get into the wipes to clean off my shelves. What a busy little girl!!! 
After clobbering him over the head with it he started crying. Sarah then went and gave him loves cross body slam style until he stopped crying.
During that episode I was feeding Noah. When I finished I changed him and put him in the exersaucer to play. I then went up to clean up breakfast. By the time I came back I saw Noah smiling at me. I went over to talk to him and play with him when I found he was not as innocent as he was pretending. 
He had a major blowout. It had filled up his diaper, flowed down his legs and had pooled in the bottom of the exersaucer. He had then kicked it smeared it all around between his toes and spread it out all over the bottom of the exersaucer. YUCK!! 
What a mess. I was trying to figure out how to clean up such a huge mess when Sarah came over smelling quite stinky, too. I guess she was inspired by Noah. I bathed Noah and cleaned up his mess. The exersaucer has never been so clean!! When that I was done cleaning up Noah's mess I noticed Sarah sitting on the counter rubbing ketchup into her hands like lotion. Nice. I took her and threw her into the shower to clean off her velvety ketchup hands and her very stinky bum. When I got her out of the shower, she ran over to the carpet and then peed all over it. REALLY?! I am happy to say the rest of the day went better, but what a morning!!

When we got home we decided we need to spend the day at home doing chores and getting things put away for winter. Aaron took down the trampoline, mowed, edged and weed eated the yard for the last time this year. It was such a nice day the boys spent it outside for a little while. I worked inside cleaning. When the boys started coming inside saying they were bored, I told them if they came inside they had to help me with chores. I had never seen anyone run outside so fast. I went merrily on my way until Aaron came inside and told me to come outside and look at how the boys were "helping" us. I went to the garage to find they had found an old bucket and opened up and dumped part of my case of bottled water in it. They then grabbed the toilet scrubber/brush cleaner (we keep it outside so kids won't play with it--ya, that worked out) and they were washing the car. Daniel had the toilet brush cleaner and Matthew had the ice scraper brush. Nice! So you know who not to call if you need a car wash!!
