"God doesn't give children with special needs to strong people; He gives children with special needs to ordinary, weak people and then gives them strength. Raising a child with special needs doesn't take a special family, it makes a special family."--Author Unknown

Down and Derby With Some Snow

Tonight is the Pinewood Derby for cub scouts. Aaron and Matthew have been working on his car for the last five days and Aaron tells me he thinks it will do good. He has the weights in back and the graphite on the wheels to help them go faster. Aaron also found out the more the wheels are spun the faster it goes. That was the best job for Matthew. He has loved spinning anything since he has been born!! Matthew got to sit and spin the wheels for a long time yesterday afternoon without anyone telling him to stop. He was in heaven!!
Yesterday afternoon it actually snowed. The kids were excited. They went and dug out their snow boots, put them on and went out to play. Even though the snow didn't really stick around and it didn't snow all that much, they still saw the snow and insisted they needed their snow boots. Daniel didn't want to wait for me to find his coat so he just threw on his jacket and went outside. Sarah didn't care what she was wearing she just wanted to go outside with her brothers. Matthew wanted to ride his bike and scooter and didn't care that it was snowing--crazy kid!! They stayed outside for all of maybe five minutes before they came inside to warm up and to look for gloves. I can't believe it is already snowing!!!To prove it was actually snowing since you can't see too much of the snow in the previous picture, I took a picture of a snowflake on Josh's hood to prove that is was in fact snowing.
