Once we got back inside they have the course set up as a ship wreck with storm sounds--lightning and thundering. Once Sarah heard this she took off back outside the golf course. She did not like it at all. I had to leave everyone else inside and go get her. When I brought her back inside she just screamed. I tried to show her how to putt her ball, but she would have none of it and only wanted to be held. Also as soon as we got back inside Daniel looked terrified and told me he had changed his mind and didn't want to go golfing after all. I basically heard this the whole time we were in the golf course:Daniel kept screaming that he needed lubs (loves) and Sarah just was screaming. I ended up carrying Sarah and reassuring Daniel while trying to push Noah's stroller through the course one handed. I was glad Josh and Matthew cheated their way through the whole course so we got finished rather quickly. Whew!!
Next we headed over to do some bowling. Sarah was not to fun to be with because she thought every turn should be her turn. She is not very good at taking turns so she would scream when we let the boys take their turns. She would try to escape my grasp and when she did she would run over and pick up a ball and try to throw it down the lane. She was a handful!!
Thursday was Baby Animal Days up in Logan. I thought the kids would like seeing the baby farm animals in addition to the baby bears and other exotic animals they had there. It was raining that morning, but I thought we would attempt it anyway. Here's what the drive started out like: 
Josh doesn't know how to sleep in. Even on Spring Break he has been waking up at 6 am and getting in the shower. This in turn wakes up Daniel who gets in the shower with Josh. However, getting up that early every morning doesn't work out so well for Daniel. He has been "Chuckles" (ornery) all week long. I know he must be exhausted because in addition to the orneriness he falls asleep as soon as he's in the car for any longer than 30 seconds. Here he was yesterday afternoon:
He doesn't get scared very easily. He is my daredevil who is always up for most anything. He has been that way since I can remember. Santa doesn't even scare him.
He has always been in touch with his silly side!!
For all the kids' first birthdays I make them their own cake to destroy/eat/smear. Here was Noah's first cake:
Noah didn't quite know what to do with it. I finally had to take his hand and smear it in the cake and then let him taste it. 
From there he was hooked and made a pretty good mess. His favorite part seemed to be the frosting.
I also made another cake for everyone else to enjoy. The cake was even Daniel friendly so everyone got to enjoy it! 
We invited G&G T up for cake and ice cream and were glad they both could join us. After letting Noah smear/destroy/eat his cake for a little while, we cleaned him off and let him open his presents. He of course had plenty of help from his over anxious siblings. He got a fun rattle.
He also got some clothes and a neat phone with lots of buttons to push. That phone quickly got taken away by Sarah who possessively played with it the rest of the night. I don't think anyone else got a turn after she got hold of it. Noah settled for the tissue paper to play with. 
Now what to do with the infant car seat because we won't be needing it again....
Finally got off the ventilator, but still needs a nasal cannula for oxygen. This was one of the rare times he was actually awake in the NICU. Most the time he was too tired to even open his eyes.
Here's his blessing day. He was blessed with his oxygen tubing in place. Aaron was a little nervous about that, but it all worked out.

Here's his one year pictures. He really is a sweet good natured baby. I love to squeeze him and hold him!!
Then everyone had to brush their teeth. I think it is physically impossible for Daniel to brush his teeth without getting toothpaste on his clothes. I had to send him back two extra times to really scrub his teeth and each time he came back with even more toothpaste on his shirt. This happens every morning and evening, too.
The kids loved looking at all the different kinds of fish.
It was also nice because Matthew and Josh could actually read the signs by themselves and learn about the different fish, too.
One of Daniel's favorite fish was the algae eaters. As Daniel put it, "The allergy eaters pick up all the rocks and eat the allergies off them." I thought it was too cute to correct him.
I loved watching the jelly fish swim/float or whatever they do. I could sit and watch them move around all day. I find it relaxing.
Matthew and Daniel didn't even try to touch them. Sarah loved playing in the water until she actually touched a sting ray swimming by which freaked her out. After that she wouldn't touch the water.
In the other petting area they had some starfish, sea urchins and a mini sting ray you could touch. Again Josh touched everything and loved it. Matthew tried touching the star fish, but nothing else. Daniel and Sarah refused to touch anything.
The kids liked looking at the penguins. By looking at the penguins in their enclosure it is hard to believe the penguins are almost as tall and even taller than the kids!

Sarah got her climbing fix in when she saw this "Ribbit". She calls all frogs ribbits.
You can see Josh really enjoyed himself in the petting area. Look at how sopping wet his shirt and pants are:
After the Aquarium we stopped by for some Pace Bars at Paces. All the boys wanted to sit on the barstools. Sarah was upset because she couldn't climb up on them. Josh was nice enough to lift her up and put her on the barstool. It was nice because once she got up there, she couldn't get back down until she got some help.
Sarah enjoyed her Pace bar a little too fast and got a brain freeze which made her cry.
Instead of a Pace bar I got a small shake that I shared with Noah. He LOVED it despite it's very COLD temperature. 
Friday was such a beautiful day. We are getting Spring Fever here! We decided to enjoy the beautiful warm weather and took the kids to the park and had a picnic. It was nice to be outside without a jacket or coat on! However, it was short lived since we woke up this morning (Sunday) to a fresh layer of snow on everything. Doh!! Anyway, all the kids had a lot of fun at the park.
Noah had his first slide ride. He didn't quite know what to think of it. It didn't help that he almost fell off the end of the slide either. Good thing Aaron was there to catch him!
Saturday the weather continued to be beautiful for the most part. We had the "birthday" celebration that afternoon. My birthday, sister's birthday and my Dad's birthday all are within three days of each other. We usually get together to celebrate every year and this year was no different. After eating a yummy lunch the boys headed out to play some football. The dads seemed to be playing with minor assistance from the kids.
Seeing as Grandpa T is very difficult to buy presents for, he started making a list of things he wanted throughout the year. Of course all of us called up Grandma T to get ideas of what to get Grandpa T. When we all called she read off the list to each of us. When we showed up Saturday we unfortunately found out Grandpa had quite a few duplicate gifts. Great. He won't be hurting for haircutting capes and magazine subscriptions to say the least. Maybe next time we should coordinate a little better--at least that's what I am thinking :). 
Daniel likes to "surprise" me every morning. While I am in the shower he comes to tell me not to come out for a minute because he is going to surprise me. Every morning it is the same surprise--he makes my bed for me. I think it is very sweet. I even love how he attempts to put all the pillows on the bed, too. I love his surprises even if it is the same surprise EVERY morning ;). 
Daniel also likes to draw the same picture for me every morning. He writes out the name Mom and Dad with a heart by the names to show he loves us. He then hides the picture for me to find every morning. He gets so excited to play the game hot and cold to help me find his surprise picture. I love kids at this age--they are so sweet! Sarah has been working on her mothering skills lately. From changing her stuffed baby's stinky bum with real wipes to trying to feed her baby she loves imitating me. She even tried her hand at feeding Noah yesterday. She got her pretend food in her toy cup with a toy spork and sat down to feed him. I had just finished feeding him and was cleaning up when I noticed what she was doing. I still hadn't wiped off the spilled food on Noah's tray and Sarah though it was gross, but it didn't deter her in trying to feed him. Noah, surprisingly, didn't cry and actually kind of went a long with it. Even if he didn't want to open his mouth Sarah forced the spork in his mouth anyway. Then Sarah would take a few bites herself. Funny girl!! I think Sarah is going to toughen Noah up whether he wants to be tough or not--poor guy! 
Also kids can be quite sweet. Aaron and I try to have lunch together once a week. We go during school so we only have Sarah, Daniel and Noah with us. We usually go to Cafe Rio where we get salads. The salads there are very big so I usually save half of my salad for Josh to eat for dinner. He loves it. Wednesday Susan, Aaron's sister, came for a visit. Noah was not feeling the best so I stayed home with Noah and Daniel while Aaron took Matthew, Josh and Sarah to dinner at Cafe Rio with him to see Susan. Josh ordered a salad and was sweet enough to think of me. He only ate half his salad and saved the other half for me to eat at home. He was so excited to tell me he had saved half his salad for me. What a sweet guy! It is times like this that make parenting awesome!! Aaron was in the dog house this week. We had a little disagreement (aka argument or fight) earlier in the week and he dug himself into a large hole. I was quite mad. Anyway, he came home from work with some flowers and chocolate yesterday to make up. I don't know if it was the flowers or the chocolate or both, but we are now on speaking terms again. Good thing we don't get in too many fights/arguments/discussions very often!! I am enjoying my chocolate and flowers, though. However, as much as I liked my flowers and chocolate, hopefully it will be another long while before we have our next argument/discussion/fight again.
