8 is Great...

This weekend we took all four kids to get their pictures taken. It was pretty difficult to get everyone to stay still, look at the camera and smile without dropping Sarah. None of the pictures came out perfect, but in the one we chose at least everyone was happy.

Today as we were getting ready for church Daniel had just gone to the bathroom and brought Aaron a dripping pair of underwear. Thinking he had had a potty accident Aaron took them before Daniel told him they had fallen into the toilet. That's when you are very thankful for soap and, as my kids call it, hanitizer (hand sanitizer). At church things were just too exciting for Daniel. He crawled up in his primary teacher's lap and fell fast asleep. There was no waking this kid up for anything! He slept through half of primary and all of sacrament meeting. He only woke up when we made him walk to the car to come home. Coming into Sacrament meeting we had to take a chance--all the benches were full up to the front so we had to sit in the front. That's a little scary when you know anything could happen with your kids--they could either be really good or really bad--the latter being the most common. Everyone was pretty good which was nice. We then came home for an hour, ate a quick dinner and then headed back to the church for Matthew's "8 is Great" presentation. It is hard to believe we will have an eight year old who will be getting baptized. At the end of the program they handed out a special monogrammed baptism towel that he is pretty proud of.

Aaron has been working a lot of overtime this last week so I have felt like a single parent. Luckily, probably for Daniel's sake, he has caught on to the potty training thing pretty quickly. He can even go all night staying dry which is amazing! The two older boys took a while for that to happen. He also hasn't had a #2 accident since the Star Wars underwear casualty. I guess if you wait long enough to train them, they almost train themselves :).
