Since it was Fast Sunday Matthew just couldn't wait to share his testimony in sacrament meeting. I had to remind him not to run up to the pulpit. He loves to bear his testimony and he is not shy about using a loud voice to do it in. No one was asleep after that one. Afterward Josh wanted to bear his. He got up and did a great job, but forgot how to end his testimony (ei. in the name of Jesus Christ, amen). Instead he said what he wanted to say and then said, "Um....that's the end." I was also impressed. Josh came to us Saturday afternoon and asked if the next day, Sunday, was August 1st. I told him yes and then he said, "So it's Fast Sunday?" I told him yes. He then told us he was going to fast for breakfast and lunch. Now this is something we haven't really taught them yet so he must have learned about it at church. I was rather impressed. Kids can listen, learn and remember at times. He did end up fasting and didn't even complain about it. He did talk Daniel into it, but he didn't fare quite as well as Josh. After we had dinner he asked if we were going to start fasting again for the next day. We told him it was just the first Sunday of the month--thank goodness. It also hit me he is growing up so fast to be able to understand something like that and follow through with it. Whoa--what happened to my little 2 year old Joshy boy?
As we were listening to the other testimonies Sarah decided that she could not share my lap with anyone including Daniel. Daniel had crawled up in my lap and she was NOT happy about it. She kept trying to push him off while screaming. Aaron finally grabbed Sarah and put her in his lap and this did not make her happy. She started just screaming to the point that Aaron had to take her out. The rest of us tried to listen to the testimonies which can be difficult with 4 loud boys. However, we couldn't hear over Sarah's wails out in the foyer. After about 5 minutes of hearing her wail inconsolably I packed the rest of our stuff up and called it a day and left to go home. Sarah was still so upset when we got home she didn't even want to eat her lunch so she went straight to bed and was asleep within a millisecond.
That night we got the kids ready and put them to bed. Sarah decided she was not ready for bed and tried to crawl out of her crib and fell. Thinking she learned her lesson Aaron put her back in and we didn't have any other problems with it. That is until yesterday for nap time. She kept trying to crawl out and teetered dangerously on the edge of the crib. I ended up putting her in the bed instead for nap time. She did not like that either, but she finally fell asleep in the bed.
So I guess she has now graduated herself out of the crib. Oh well we were going to have to do it sooner than later anyway to make room for Noah who is still sleeping in our room. Kind of sad to put away my pink crib bedding, though.

Kind of sad to put away my pink crib bedding, though. We are in even more trouble because Sarah has figured out how to pick the bar stools off the ground a put them upright. I would lay the bar stools flat on the ground so she couldn't crawl up on the counter, but, alas, she has figured that out, too. I guess nothing is sacred anymore. She also has figured out how to crawl inside of Noah's pack-n-play.
Good thing Noah wasn't in it at the time. She is such a climber and mischief maker. She definitely keeps me on my toes!!
